Here's
our gazebo at the Lee Valley Spring
Wildlife Weekend Fair, hosted by the
Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.
It's always a huge success and on this
occasion was particularly enjoyable
when celebrity guest, Simon King popped
by to say hello. We couldn't resist
having a photo taken with him. Not long
after this photo way taken, (spring
2008) Simon kindly agreed to be our
Patron. |

Our
members sometimes turn up to lend a
hand, and hold the fort while we stretch
our legs and get a well-earned cuppa.
For example, in spring 2008, Andie Phillips
(a member) had a nifty 'toy bat' making
idea, which engaged a number of children.
They tried their hand at making bats
from pre-cut card and faux fur. Adding
thin elastic, meant the children could
hang them from their bedroom ceiling.
Great work Andie !! |

We
regularly engage with the community
by way of public events, e.g. fairs,
exhibitions, conferences, etc. Above,
is our former Chair, Nuria Rodriguez
with Phil, treasurer. This was taken
at the Tottenham Festival. |

These
are our very first photos taken while
monitoring for bats in 2007. Phil and
Jeanette listening for Pipistrelles
at Stonebridge Lock, Tottenham Marshes.
Much of our monitoring experience was
gained on the Marshes, but also at several
other locations, including Fishers Green
and Waltham Abbey. |
